As I announced a few days ago, I am interning with the Kentucky Xtreme (an professional indoor football time in Louisville). I will be posting a lot of the work I do for them here, so I hope you enjoy it. Here is a schedule poster I did that will be printed 17×11 and distributed around town and at the stadium. Also attached is a FaceBook cover photo I did for the team page, which you can follow here.

Kentucky Xtreme
I am happy to announce that this coming season I will be a graphic design intern for the Kentucky Xtreme. The Xtreme are a professional indoor football team in Louisville that are part of the CIFL. They play their home games at Freedom Hall and will host 6 games this season, starting in February. I am excited to be part of the team, and I look forward to helping the team promote and grow in the area. Here is the first piece I did for them, a wallpaper featuring a stylized version of the logo. Visit the teams website to view the schedule, the roster (several former UofL players), and ticket information. It is a very exciting brand of football, and I look forward to seeing you all at games this season.
Indianapolis Colts Logo Wallpaper
This is (I think) my first Indianapolis Colts wallpaper, and I’m happy with the way it turned out. Everyone always asks me “what NFL team do you follow,” and I never really had an answer. Living in Indiana my whole life, I’ve always heard more about the Colts than other teams, and I’ve had the opportunity to watch them more often too. I decided this year that I would choose a team to follow, just to make Sunday’s more fun. The Colts being the obvious chose, I’ve started paying more attention to them and I’m becoming a true Colts fan. Luck is great under center, Wayne is one of the best in the league, and this years defense seems to be much improved. All those things considered, I think I’ll have a pretty good answer next time someone asks me who my NFL team is.
UofL Logo Wallpaper (Desktop and Mobile)
Just finished up another UofL logo wallpaper, with both a mobile and a desktop version. The logo wallpapers have been pretty popular since I started putting them out, but this may be my favorite one yet. It isn’t really sports specific, but I would lean more towards football just because the stripes remind me of what you would find on a football helmet. I added different depths of bevels to the logo to set it apart from the background, and added texture to the stripes to make them pop. Thanks for looking, and let me know what you think.
NFL (NFC) Logo Wallpaper (Mobile and Desktop)
With the NFL season starting tomorrow, I thought it was time for some wallpaper for the professional football fan. I have been getting more and more into the NFL over the last few years, and for the first time I’m pumped for the season to start. The plan is to have a wallpaper (mobile and desktop) for every team in the NFL, but for tonight, it is just the NFC. Take a look and let me know what you think. The desktop wallpapers are first, with the mobile wallpaper at the end.
UofL Football Logo Wallpaper (Desktop and iPhone)
We are currently less than a week away from the kickoff of the 2012 UofL football season, so thought I should squeeze in a couple more football wallpapers before the season gets underway. For this wallpaper I decided to keep it pretty simple, yet effective. I used a leather football texture, and gave the illusion that the logo is embedded into the football. I also decided to go ahead and make this one for both your desktop and your mobile phone, so check them both out.
Get On The Train iPhone Wallpaper
Earlier in the week a posted a couple of new iPhone wallpapers, which seemed to go over pretty well. Someone left a comment on that post that recommended I do a “Get On The Train” iPhone wallpaper, and here it is. With football season fast approaching, this should let the world know where you stand come Sept. 2.
2012 UoL Football Schedule Wallpaper
Here is another football schedule wallpaper, and will probably be the last one for this season. I took a different route with this one and didn’t use any players or coaches in the wallpaper. Like many of my wallpapers it has a “grungy” style, with the helmet standing out from the background. I decided to use each of our opponent’s logos to make the wallpaper a little more interesting. Thanks for looking, and as always, let me know what you think.
Old School UofL Logo Wallpaper W/ Football Schedule
A few days ago I posted a logo wallpaper that featured the old school UofL logo, and it was a big hit. I had a couple people that said they’d be interested in seeing a version that also had the 2012 UofL football schedule on it, and I liked the idea. There are still a few games with times that haven’t been set, but we are getting there. Maybe this is the wallpaper that will get you through the next month and a half before the season starts, and maybe beyond. Thanks for looking, and as always, let me know what you think.
“Cards On Fire” Wallpaper
Sticking with the logo wallpapers (sort of), my newest wallpaper features a nice looking burning playing card, with a UofL theme. I created the card using shapes, textures, and of course the Cardinal logo. I then used several different flame images to give the effect that the card is burning. To bring a little more realism to the wallpaper I then went in and added burnt edges, darkened paper, and a hole in the card to add to the effect. This is a different direction that I usually take, but I’m happy with the way it turned out. The UofL playing card has been done before, but not like this (to my knowledge).
