As I announced a few days ago, I am interning with the Kentucky Xtreme (an professional indoor football time in Louisville). For many Reds fans Barry Larkin represents what a baseball player should be. Not only was he great on the field, but he played with a respect for the game that a lot of todays players seem to lack. Larkin was a member of the Reds for his entire 19 year career, and did more for the city of Cincinnati than just win baseball games. Growing up he was the player that I wanted to be (obviously that goal fell short), and is still my favorite player of all time. Congratulations to Barry Larkin on his induction to Cooperstown.
