Early last week I was contacted by Justin, who was starting up his own remodeling/construction business called Castlerock.  He contacted me to create a logo for his new company, and he had some good ideas in mind.  After going back and forth with him, looking at some samples, and figuring out what he was looking for, this is what we came up with.  I think it’s a very professional, clean logo that should serve well in many different medias.  It was great to work with Justin, and I hope to do so again in the future.  

Family Photo Session

On Christmas day I had the pleasure of taking pictures for my sister and her beautiful family, here is the end result.  It was impromptu, but I’m happy with the way they turned out.

More Kentucky Xtreme Work

As I announced a few days ago, I am interning with the Kentucky Xtreme (an professional indoor football time in Louisville).  I will be posting a lot of the work I do for them here, so I hope you enjoy it.  Here is a schedule poster I did that will be printed 17×11 and distributed around town and at the stadium.  Also attached is a FaceBook cover photo I did for the team page, which you can follow here.

Kentucky Xtreme

I am happy to announce that this coming season I will be a graphic design intern for the Kentucky Xtreme.  The Xtreme are a professional indoor football team in Louisville that are part of the CIFL.  They play their home games at Freedom Hall and will host 6 games this season, starting in February.  I am excited to be part of the team, and I look forward to helping the team promote and grow in the area.  Here is the first piece I did for them, a wallpaper featuring a stylized version of the logo.  Visit the teams website to view the schedule, the roster (several former UofL players), and ticket information.  It is a very exciting brand of football, and I look forward to seeing you all at games this season.

My First Wedding Shoot

Over the weekend I had the privilege of photographing my first wedding.  I was nervous going into it, as I wanted to capture the moment properly.  After looking over my images, I’m very happy with the way they turned out.  It wasn’t a traditional wedding, as there were no wedding parties, but it was a beautiful ceremony and I am proud to have been able to photograph it.  Feel free to give any feedback/suggestions.  Like I said, this was my first wedding, so I still have learning to do.  Thanks for looking, and thanks to Jeff and Stacey for allowing me to be part of their big day.

Indianapolis Colts Logo Wallpaper

This is (I think) my first Indianapolis Colts wallpaper, and I’m happy with the way it turned out.  Everyone always asks me “what NFL team do you follow,” and I never really had an answer.  Living in Indiana my whole life, I’ve always heard more about the Colts than other teams, and I’ve had the opportunity to watch them more often too.  I decided this year that I would choose a team to follow, just to make Sunday’s more fun.  The Colts being the obvious chose, I’ve started paying more attention to them and I’m becoming a true Colts fan.  Luck is great under center, Wayne is one of the best in the league, and this years defense seems to be much improved.  All those things considered, I think I’ll have a pretty good answer next time someone asks me who my NFL team is.

River City Craft Wear Wallpaper

RIver City Craft Wear is a Louisville based clothing company that focusing on apparel for those of you that enjoy a cold beer on occasion (often).  I’ll let Ryan (the founder) explain the company more by posting a blurb from their site, but I’ll take a second to explain the wallpaper.  Basically, I turned the Louisville skyline into beer, what more could you ask for right?  RCCW has a great logo, so that is the focus of the design.  Take a second to check out their website, purchase a few awesome shirts, and represent a local up and coming business on your desktop.

The idea for RCCW started after a local beer festival when we decided we wanted to be able to wear something that stands out while walking from booth to booth sampling beers and munching on pretzel necklaces.

Purp.me wallpaper

PurpMe is a charity organization that is out to make uplifting and helping people cool.  Purp (People Uplifting Real People) organizes events for kids and spread the word that even the smallest acts of kindness can change someone’s day and make the world a better place.  Purp is based out of Louisville, KY and has gotten major support from UofL basketball player Kevin Ware and several other athletes.  I think the word they are trying to spread is very admirable and needs to be heard by the world, so I decided to do my small part and create a wallpaper.  If you are interested in helping the cause, check out their website and twitter to see how you can help.
